NOKIA WIRELESS EARBUDS, BETTER THAN AIRPODS?

NOKIA WIRELESS EARBUDS, BETTER THAN AIRPODS?

Gadgets
While many major headphone manufacturers do sell wireless and truly wireless earphones, an increasing number of smartphone makers have taken to the market in recent months. It all started with the Apple AirPods, which although not the first truly wireless earphones, have been credited with making this kind of product popular. The obvious inference is that smartphone makers' audio products  though built using popular standards will work best with their own smartphones, which is why we've seen brands such as Xiaomi and Samsung get into the space. The latest in that list is HMD Global, which recently launched the Nokia True Wireless Earbuds. Priced at Rs. 9,999, the True Wireless Earbuds offer simplicity and ease of use, along with above-average battery life. We review the Nokia True Wireless Earbuds to…

Apple’s next iPhone lineup could have bigger batteries, according to a research note from TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. In the note, Kuo says the successor to the iPhone XS could get a 20 to 25 per cent battery bump, and the 6.5-inch iPhone XS Max is expected to get a battery that’s expected to grow by 15 per cent. In case of the successor to the iPhone XR, Kuo expects the battery life should remain the same. The reason why Apple might pack bigger batteries to the 2019 iPhone line is that they could gain bilateral charging support. Simply put, the Cupertino company plans to add a reverse wireless charging feature to the next-generation iPhones. This feature allows the user to charge other devices (AirPods or Apple Watch, for…

SMARTPHONES INNOVATION IS ALL ABOUT CAMERAS AND IT IS GETTING BETTER

When Huawei launched the P30 Pro in Paris last week, there was one clear hero feature: the quad cameras on the back that can shoot 10x lossless zoom images. Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Group, summed it up as a bid to deliver professional-level photography, “a new chapter in mobile photography”. While it might seem like a bold statement to make, DSLR-like picture quality on a smartphone is exactly what the industry is striving to achieve as its next goal. Innovation has maxed out in the smartphone segment and most devices across brands now have too much in common within a certain price band. They are mostly the same when it comes to looks as well as to their innards. However, the camera is one area where innovation continues,…
